Spoken Chinese at Beginner's Level

 

Course Overview: 

This course provides practical spoken Chinese language skills (equivalent to HSK1) for people who have no knowledge of Chinese language at all. It is a kind of conversation course following the task-based teaching ideas. Being objective-oriented and task-based in communication, it combines the topics, functions and culture, so as to artistically integrate the form and meaning. The course includes multiple subject tasks, such as greetings, talking about age and Chinese Zodiac, talking about one’s nationality and hometown, talking about one’s daily schedule, meals, shopping, hobbies and sports, etc. Each task includes several objectives of the tasks and helps learners to achieve language acquisition when carrying out the tasks.

Target Groups:
People who are beginners for Chinese. They are interested in everyday oral communication, like task-based teaching, and focus on the practical application of language.

From 2 February to 29 June, 2021 (20 weeks)
